Brain Battle

The Computer Department of Sikh National College, Qadian successfully organized an engaging and multifaceted event titled “Brain Battle 2026” on 18th March 2026 in the college Auditorium Hall. The event was designed to provide a comprehensive platform for students to showcase their intellectual abilities, creativity, and communication skills through a series of competitive and interactive activities. The programme was conducted from 10:00 AM to 01:30 PM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. The event comprised a variety of activities including Open Mic, Speech Competition, PPT Presentation, Art Gallery, and Quiz competition, each tailored to enhance different skill sets among students. The Open Mic session served as an expressive platform where students showcased their talents through poetry, singing, shayari, and mimicry. Participants were given a time limit of 3-4 minutes, which encouraged them to present their ideas concisely while maintaining audience engagement. The session created a lively and vibrant atmosphere, reflecting the diverse talents of the students. The Speech Competition provided participants an opportunity to articulate their views on relevant topics such as Education, Discipline, Leadership, Social media impact, Time management, and Personal struggles. This segment aimed at improving public speaking skills, confidence, and critical thinking. Students delivered insightful speeches within the given time frame, demonstrating clarity of thought and effective communication. Another significant component of the event was the PPT Presentation, where students presented on topics including Communication skills, Time management, Confidence building, Creativity, Personality development, Goal setting, and the concept of Hard work versus smart work. Each participant was allotted 3–4 minutes to present, encouraging them to organize their content effectively and use visual aids to support their ideas. This activity helped students enhance their technical presentation skills and analytical abilities.

The Art Gallery segment added a creative dimension to the event. Students created artworks based on themes such as Save Environment, Clean India, Stop Pollution, Digital World, and Peace & Unity. The activity allowed participants to express their perspectives on social and environmental issues through visual representation. The display of artwork highlighted the creativity, awareness, and sensitivity of students towards contemporary challenges.

The Quiz competition was another major highlight of the event, conducted in teams of three students from each department. The quiz included both technical and non-technical questions, testing participants’ general awareness, subject knowledge, and quick thinking abilities. The team-based format encouraged collaboration, teamwork, and healthy competition among students. The event was efficiently organized and coordinated by the faculty members of the Computer Department, who ensured smooth execution and active participation. Their guidance played a crucial role in maintaining discipline and encouraging students throughout the programme. Overall, “Brain Battle 2026” proved to be a highly successful and enriching event that contributed to the holistic development of students. It provided a balanced blend of academic, cultural, and creative activities, fostering confidence, innovation, and teamwork. In the concluding segment of the event, Principal Dr. Harpreet Singh Hundal extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding performances. He also sincerely appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Computer Department for successfully organizing such a meaningful and enriching event.
